Three Thunder Players on NBA All-Star Ballot

OKLAHOMA CITY, Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 –Oklahoma City Thunder forwards Nick Collison and Chris Wilcox, along with guard Kevin Durant, have all been selected to appear on the 2009 NBA All-Star Ballot, presented by T-Mobile USA. Voting on the NBA All-Star Ballot begins Thursday, Nov. 13. The 2009 NBA All-Star Game, which will air live on TNT and ESPN Radio, will be held at US Airways Center on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009.

The 2009 NBA All-Star Balloting program allows fans around the world to vote daily for their favorite players as starters for the All-Star Game in a variety of ways, including: at each NBA arena; in 20 languages on NBA.com; and through mobile phones at t-zones® on T-Mobile phones or wap.nba.com for any wireless carrier. The first opportunity for Oklahoma City fans to vote in-arena at the Ford Center will be Monday, Nov. 17 vs. the Houston Rockets. Voting will continue through Jan. 11, for paper balloting and Jan. 19, for NBA.com and wireless balloting.

Through seven games so far this season, Collison is leading the Thunder in rebounding at 6.4 boards per game. Collison is also averaging 6.1 points per game and has started all seven games. Collison recorded the first double-double in Oklahoma City Thunder franchise history when he recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds vs. Minnesota on Nov. 2. Wilcox is averaging 6.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and has been in double-figure scoring two times this season.

Durant leads the team in scoring at 22.0 points per game, which includes a season-high 37 points on Nov. 10 in Indiana. He has started every game for the Thunder this season and has led the team in scoring six times and has scored 20 or more points four times. He is also averaging 4.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
