"We're beginning an exciting new era at Fox Sports Net, in large part due to the partnership we've developed with the Sonics," said FSN Vice President and General Manager Mark Shuken. "With these additional 71 NBA games on our network, we're proud to have the opportunity to provide our viewers an impressive increase in quality event programming year-round."

“Sonics fans will be able to view a record number of games on our new broadcast partner Fox Sports Net,” said Seattle Sonics & Storm Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Mike Humes. “FSN is recognized nationally for quality sports programming and we’ll work along side them to bring unprecedented coverage of our team to our fans.”

FSN’s Sonics coverage will be anchored by long-time play-by-play announcer Kevin Calabro, who will spend his 18th season as the “Voice of the Sonics”. In 1997 and again in 2000, The National Sportswriters and National Sportscasters Associated named Calabro “Sportscaster of the Year”. In 1998, Sports Illustrated named Calabro “Fastest Talker in the NBA”. In addition to his work for the Sonics and four years behind the microphone for the Kansas City Kings, Calabro has called NBA games for TNT, TBS and ESPN Radio. He did play-by-play for the USA Basketball 2000 Men’s Olympic Team for Westwood One Radio.

Joining Calabro will be color commentator Craig Ehlo. Ehlo, a veteran of 14 NBA seasons, finished his career in Seattle during the 1996-97 campaign. A Washington State University grad and Spokane resident, Ehlo began his broadcast career in 2002, working as the color analyst for Gonzaga men’s basketball games for KHQ in Spokane as well as a number of Pac-10 games for Fox Sports Net Northwest. He continued in both roles during the 2003-04 season, increasing his presence on FSN as the lead analyst for Pac-10 contests while also covering games for College Sports Television.

The newest member of the Sonics broadcasting team is Brian Davis. In his role as the Host of Sonics telecasts, Davis will handle on-air duties for the pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows for all games on FSN. Davis' name and voice should be familiar to Northwest sports fans, as he spent the last four seasons as the radio play-by-play announcer for the Seattle Seahawks, where he established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in the National Football League. He has received multiple nominations for local Emmys, as well as Soundies from The Puget Sound Radio Broadcasters Association.

David Locke returns for his seventh season of hosting “Sonics Talk”, the Sonics pregame, halftime and postgame shows, on 950 KJR AM. In addition to his duties with the Sonics, Locke hosts “Locked on Sports” weeknights from 7-10 p.m. on KJR and is in his fifth season as play-by-play announcer for the WNBA’s Storm.
