Tulsa 66ers Returning to Bixby’s SpiritBank Event Center
The Tulsa 66ers and the SpiritBank Event Center announced today that the team will return to Bixby to play its 24 NBA Development League home games per season at the 4,500-seat SpiritBank Event Center, which was home to the 66ers during the 2008-09 season. The move becomes effective at the start of the 2012-13 season. The 66ers are the Development League affiliate of the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder and are owned by the Professional Basketball Club, LLC , which also owns the Thunder.
“The 66ers are excited about moving to Bixby and the SpiritBank Event Center. We are looking forward to returning and resuming our partnership with the Bixby and South Tulsa communities, which have always been very supportive of our team and business,” said Dan Mahoney, spokesman for the 66ers and Oklahoma City Thunder. “The SpiritBank Event Center is a tremendous facility for basketball, offering just what we need to provide 66ers fans with a first-rate sports and entertainment experience. “ The 66ers will also move their business offices to Bixby.

The SpiritBank Event Center is South Tulsa’s state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue. The 4,500-seat Center is located within Regal Plaza Shopping Center at 104th and Memorial, with a Hampton Inn & Suites on site. The Center has hosted acts such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, John Legend, Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert. In addition to abundant retail parking spaces, there is an on-site parking garage with 1,000 spaces.
