Mike and Paula Beiland fell in love with the Oklahoma City Thunder upon the NBA’s arrival to our state. As residents of Weatherford, they knew it would be a big commitment to attend every game, but decided to become Season Ticket Members in 2009.
At that time, their oldest son, Larry, had just begun attending the University of Oklahoma, so the couple thought the Thunder games would not only be a time for the family to meet up during the week, but also an outlet for their son to take a break from studying. Mike, who owns Genesis Oilfield Services, saw the Thunder as a good opportunity to entertain clients and show his employees appreciation, as well.
Mike and Paula had the chance to move from their lower-level seats to courtside last season. They have become avid fans who have a hard time sharing their tickets, even with Larry! They now the make the drive from Weatherford to Oklahoma City 50+ nights a year.
