Blue Alliance Spotlight - Cindy Evans

How did you get started as a Blue Alliance Captain?

I got started as a Blue Alliance Captain by hearing about it on the live chat during one of the games in 2011. Lisa Warren, the now Blue Alliance Captain of Yukon, and I talked about it and decided we would both love to represent and support our beloved team this way, so I sent in my essay, and the rest is history. I was so excited when I found out I was chosen!

What got you hooked on the Thunder?

I got hooked on the Thunder right after I had my house burn down and I won tickets to my first game. After I went to that game with my daughter, I just seemed unable to stop wanting to go watch them play. The more I go, the more I'm hooked and want to go.

How many members do you have in your Blue Alliance Chapter?

I now have 107 members in my Blue Alliance and hope to add many, many more!

What’s been your favorite moment as a Blue Alliance Captain?

My favorite moment as a Captain is hard to pinpoint, but I would say first was being chosen as a Captain.

What’s your top goal for your chapter this season?

My top goal for my chapter is to have it grow and try to find better ways to represent our awesome team. I love meeting new people and this has been an awesome way to come together with some wonderful people and do just that!

How many pieces of Thunder gear do you own?

I now own approximately 150-200 OKC Thunder items and hope to get lots more! When I get a couple extra of the same item, I either give them to my members or save them for a watch party and give them that way. It is hard to do, I want all the Thunder items for myself, but I do share because I also like the way everyone's face lights up just because they received a Thunder item that they may or may not ever have the opportunity to do so unless someone gives it to them!
