Job Posting - Intern, Human Resources

The Human Resources Intern will have the opportunity to learn about working in a professional office environment as part of the HR department for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the content of the employment inbox on a daily basis and respond to all applicants
• Assist with distribution of employee desk-drops or mailers
• Assist the department with scheduling meetings/meeting rooms
• Learn how to coordinate with hiring managers, IT, and the HR Manager to ensure a smooth on- boarding process for new hires including desk setup, network access, parking arrangements, and all the other details that will provide a great start for new employees
• Update relocation resources file including local apartment rates, moving companies, IRS guidelines, etc.
• Coordinate relocation and temporary living arrangements for new hires as needed
• Perform various administrative support tasks including filing and making copies
• Assist department with updating forms and creating new hire packets
• Various research projects that may include conducting market salary surveys, etc.
• Assist with company parties including set-up and tear-down that may include lifting
• Update the weekly recruiting list
• Help organize HR storage rooms
• Participate in all internship program events and assist with program logistics
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university as a junior or senior in Human Resources or other Business Management degree program
• Must have school approval to receive credit for the internship
• Hours of work will vary depending on credit requirements
• Strong listening skills as well as verbal and written communication skills a must
• Must work well with others from all cultures and walks of life
• Strong computer proficiency a must including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Confidentiality agreement required
