Digital Media Production Coordinator

The Oklahoma City Thunder is currently seeking an individual for the position of Digital Media Production Coordinator to function as a visual effects animator for the Chesapeake Energy Arena’s various digital signage and LED systems. The Coordinator oversees, produces, and executes the integration of live-action footage, generated graphics, text, still imagery and sound to create 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional motion graphic animations and execute contractual corporate commitments for digital signage systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce and create graphic animations for the Chesapeake Energy Arena’s various digital signage systems
  • Conceptualize, design and transform scripts and visualizations into fluid, highly effective motion graphic animations
  • Assist in the management and execution of PBC’s contractual commitments of digital signage programming and advertisement sales for all arena events
  • Produce and create graphic elements that effectively promote upcoming shows, as well as utilize all aspects of digital signage to greatly enhance the theme of the event
  • Serve as liaison between Business Development and Events and Entertainment to ensure project productivity and client satisfaction
  • Recruit, train and supervise part-time digital signage animators and LED operators
  • Assist in the supervision of full time and part time graphic animators and systems operations
  • Design and create graphic elements for use in other departmental media presentations, including Broadcast, Marketing, Websites & Publications, and Business Development
  • Manage and oversee the completion of affidavit reports on a daily basis
  • Assist in the research and implementation of digital signage system software and hardware upgrades
  • Develop organized processes for the department to effectively execute its daily duties
  • Operate LED systems during live concerts and arena events
  • Maintain good punctuality and attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A four-year college degree is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or industry equivalent in Visual Effects/Motion Graphics and a minimum 3-5 years’ experience in professional motion graphics design/animation
  • Knowledge of Harris Infocaster, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Premiere, Microsoft Word and Excel. Macromedia Flash, Flash ActionScript, Avid Media Composer and Chyron a plus
  • Must be an effective team leader and team member
  • Ability to take ideas from concept to completion
  • Highly organized, patient and attentive to detail
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be willing to work extra hours and/or weekends when necessary
