Job Posting - Game Operations Intern (Tulsa 66ers)

The Tulsa 66ers, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, is currently seeking qualified individuals for a paid Game Operations internship. This position offers an inside look at the game day operations and events of the Tulsa 66ers NBA Development League basketball team. This is a fun, fast-paced internship that will add real work experience to your resume as well as your coursework.

The intern assists all members of the ticketing, marketing, and other corporate departments specifically on game days and during community events throughout the season. This is a paid, part-time position with a focus on in-game presentation and execution and heavy interaction with the 66ers’ current fan base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and preparation of all game operation activities
• Work with Marketing & Events Coordinator to develop scripts and rundowns for all home games
• Support all Tulsa 66ers staff in all pre-game or post-game events as assigned
• Assist Marketing & Events Coordinator with in-game production and promotional activities, including selecting contestants for on-court activities & promotions and coordinating National Anthem / Color Guard staging and rehearsals, etc.
• Interact with Tulsa 66ers staff, Oklahoma City Thunder staff, 66ers corporate partners and guests of the SpiritBank Event Center
• Place and organize partner signage
• Assist Game Ops staff with promotional giveaways and couponing initiatives
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
• A college student, preferably pursuing a degree in sport management, marketing or other closely-related field
• Experience in marketing and/or customer service
• Candidates must be innovative, proven self-starters; independent, energetic, and organized while possessing excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members, and the general public
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
• Flexibility to work long and irregular hours including holidays as assigned
• Willing to work evenings and weekends including all 24 Tulsa 66ers home games
