Sonics & Storm Dance Team Director Susan Hovey started with the Sonics in July 2004 and has brought a funky new style to the team.
She has danced with the Portland Trailblazers Dance Team, Seattle Seahawks Cheerleaders, and as part of the Phoenix Mercury Hip Hop Squad. Susan's choreography credits include work for the Portland Trail Blazers, Seattle Seahawks, Phoenix Mercury Hip Hop Squad and the Portland Fire Hip Hop Squad. From 2000 to 2004, she taught Hip Hop dance classes at Arizona State University. Recently, Susan created the Sonics Boom Squad, an in-game break-dancing crew that performed at NBA All-Star 2005 and the Storm Adult Hip-Hop Squad. She also served as a performance coach for MTV's "Made" twice during the 2005 season. In addition to her work with the Sonics & Storm, Susan is the owner and director of "Let's Dance Camps" which have now expanded to Seattle.
