Thunder Releases 2012-13 Broadcast Schedule
70 Games to be Seen Live on FOX Sports Oklahoma, all in HD
OKLAHOMA CITY, Friday, July 27, 2012 – Seventy of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 82 regular-season games will be carried live and in high definition on the team’s exclusive regional and local TV partner, FOX Sports Oklahoma, the Thunder announced today. The other 12 games will be exclusive national broadcasts on ABC or TNT. The Thunder’s 10 games on ESPN, as well as three on TNT will also be carried on Fox Sports Oklahoma. Brian Davis (play-by-play announcer) and Grant Long (analyst) return for their fifth season as Thunder broadcasters.
FOX Sports Oklahoma’s broadcasts of Thunder games can been seen on cable and satellite outlets throughout Oklahoma and portions of Kansas and Arkansas, reaching up to 1.7 million viewers.
FOX Sports Oklahoma is available on COX Oklahoma City on channels 37 and 722 (HD) and channels 27 and 722 (HD) in Tulsa. DirecTV subscribers can catch Thunder games on channels 679 and 679-1 (HD). Subscribers to Dish Network and other cable outlets throughout the state and region are asked to check their program guides.
Matt Pinto is also back to call all 82 regular-season games on the Thunder Radio Network, led by flagship station WWLS (98.1 FM) The Sports Animal in Oklahoma City. The 13-station Thunder Radio Network includes Sports Animal Network stations in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Muskogee, Vinita, Elk City and Woodward. Other stations carrying Thunder games on the radio include KWPN (ESPN 640 AM) Oklahoma City, KCRC (1390 AM) Enid, KXCA (1380 AM) Lawton and KQTZ (105.9 FM) Altus/Hobart.
The Thunder Radio Network also includes all 41 home games in Spanish on WKY 930 AM La Indomable in Oklahoma City. Eleno Ornelas returns as play-by-play announcer. Ornelas is also the Spanish voice of the Texas Rangers.
Also returning is the INTEGRIS Health Thunder Insider show, an in-depth weekly look at Thunder Basketball. It appears on FOX Sports Oklahoma and online at THUNDER.NBA.COM, NewsOK.com and thesportsanimal.com. It also is carried each Thursday evening on WWLS-FM radio.
FOX Sports Oklahoma's Thunder Live precedes each game broadcast. It features the Thunder broadcast and web teams providing pregame analysis and interviews. During home games, the broadcasters appear live from the concourse of Chesapeake Energy Arena.
