The Thunder Read to Achieve program, presented by American Fidelity Assurance Company, strives to teach children in grades K-12 the importance of reading and literacy. Program components include:

READING TIME-OUTS
Thunder players visit schools and other community sites throughout the season, reading to children, and discussing the importance of reading and literacy to success later in life.

ROLLING THUNDER BOOK BUS
This converted school bus travels to schools, community centers, museums, parks and other sites throughout the year to promote reading and literacy. Each student who visits the bus receives a free book to promote a love of reading. The book bus includes an inventory of at least 3000 books for pre-school through fifth grade readers.
