SEATTLE – Seattle SuperSonics All-Star guard
Ray Allen, the Ray of Hope Foundation and KJR FM morning radio host Pat Cashman will present a Saturday night filled with fun, laughs and celebrity karaoke Jan. 22 to benefit Seattle’s Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic. The Ray of Hope’s “Karaoke for Kids” will begin at 8 p.m. on Jan. 22 at The Triple Door, located at 216 Union Street in downtown Seattle. Admission to this evening of great entertainment is a tax-deductible contribution of $100 per person. Tables of two and four are available at a cost of $200 and $400.
“Karaoke for Kids” will include special karaoke performances by several local-area and national celebrities, including American Idol’s Matt Rogers and a special-guest performance by recording artist Brian McKnight. The benefit for the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic will help provide medical, dental and mental-health services to local families in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
“The Ray of Hope Foundation is thrilled to be presenting this fun and entertaining event that will raise awareness and funds for the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic – one of our community’s great assets,” said Allen, who established his foundation in 1997. “The work of Odessa Brown is inspiring. As parents, so many of us couldn’t even imagine the difficulty of taking a child to a clinic and being denied healthcare access. The Odessa Brown Clinic is there for hundreds of local families that face such unfortunate circumstances.”
The Ray of Hope Foundation is currently taking table reservations for the Jan. 22 “Karaoke for Kids” event up until 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21. Tickets and table reservations for the fund-raising event can be arranged by calling Children’s Hospital Special Events Coordinator Maureen Wilson at (206) 987-4818 or Matthew Wade, executive director of the Ray of Hope Foundation, at (206) 227-9387. Only a few tickets for the Jan. 22 will be available at the door the evening of the event.
