Tanner Mills and Chaz Tobey: February 20, 2012

Our February 2012 honorees have been credited for rescuing a couple from what was a very dangerous situation..

Tanner and Chaz were late-night mudding in their trucks in a dark, rural spot of Cleveland County recently. They came upon a car stuck in the mud. Looking inside, they saw Gayle Ault, an elderly woman stranded and shaking in the dark and cold.

They stopped and asked her if she needed assistance. She told them her husband went to get gas several hours before. As they attempted to put her in their warm truck, they noticed the husband, Carl Ault, had actually fallen in the mud and was lying face down, just behind the car.

They pulled him to safety, called 911 and stayed with the couple until help arrived. Mr and Mrs Ault were medi-flighted to the hospital where they survived.

The Ault family credits Tanner and Chaz for rescuing the couple from what was a very dangerous situation. Tanner and Chaz said they were glad to help and the whole thing makes them pause and not take life for granted.
