SGT. SPENCER CLUFF: November, 2009

Sgt. Spencer Cluff started the Kidz4Troops program four years ago as a way to make sure troops deployed around the world know someone supports and appreciates them. It began in Oklahoma, but has spread to 33 states and in those 4 years, more than 300 thousand letters have been sent. Himself a teacher, Sgt Cluff works closely with schools and other groups to coordinate the letter writing campaigns. The troops who receive the letters say it makes a huge difference in their lives to hear the honest, supportive messages from children. Read more about Sgt. Cluff's program at
