Xaiver McDaniel and Simone Edwards Honored on Legends Tour

August 19, 2006

The second Sonics and Storm Legends Tour event honored Sonics Legend Xavier McDaniel and Storm Legend Simone Edwards last Saturday at Benefit Park. With Sonics fans out in force, Voice of the Sonics Kevin Calabro presented the legendary players, who were honored by having the Benefit Park NeighborHoops court renamed after them. With the assistance of Doppler, McDaniel and Edwards cut the ribbon on the court and made the ceremonial first basket.

After the presentation was complete, McDaniel and Edwards led young fans in a clinic on the court and signed autographs while Doppler and finalists for the 2006-07 Sonics Dance Team also entertained fans.
