Thunder Girls Check in from Taiwan

Ni hao (hello) Thunder Fans,

This is Sheri and LaTeshia giving you an update on our trip to Taiwan. We had a busy day beginning with our team breakfast at a delicious buffet in our five star hotel. Then we made our way to the Grand Hotel to practice the routines that we would be performing later on in the evening. We took a quick break to grab a bite to eat at a local sushi bar. All of us were really impressed with the rotating menu of sushi you could hand pick to eat.

Next on our to do list was to visit a temple. The Hsing Tien Temple guide gave us tour and taught us about the traditional values practiced through out Buddhist temples. Immediately after our tour we returned to our hotel to freshen up. Our hair and make up was performance ready and we rode our bus back to the Grand Hotel. The event sponsored by the NBA and Lenovo. Our performance took place poolside on a high rise stage. Our high energy routine left many people impressed, enthused, and forever fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder Girls have two more fun filled days left in Taiwan, you never know what could happen next, we will keep you posted. Thunder Up!

Sheri and LaTeshia

Ni Hao Thunder Fans! It's Bonnie and Alexis writing from Taiwan.

What an eventful day we had! We started out with a trip to the Hsing Tian Kong Temple and lunch at a traditional Taiwanese restaurant Ao ba, then preformed at the NBA Madness event to preform and share our Thunder spirit. We were overwhelmed with joy to see how happy the fans were to see the Thunder Girls! We ended the day with a trip to the night market. We had such a great day and cant wait to see what tomorrow will bring! Thunder up!

Hi Thunder Fans! It's Alexis. Or should I say, `Ni Hao!'

Last night we were treated to a feast by our fellow NBA reps, and I learned how to use chopsticks quite well. Today we visited what was the tallest building in the world until just this year -- Taipei 101 -- first thing this afternoon, and ended the evening night market shopping and eating at a great restaurant on the third floor! Today was the first full day we have spent in Taipei! The city is beautiful and the people are very welcoming; we feel right at home. I can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings. What a great start to the season!

Ni Hao Thunder Fans!

It's Bonnie, writing from Taipei, Taiwan. Today was our first full day in Taipei. We spent it touring the city, getting familiar with our surroundings and the culture. We went to the top of Taipei 101, did some night market shopping, and ate some pretty interesting food! Riane just had to try stinky Tofu -- a dish Taipei is well known for. Looking forward to the start of our NBA season.

Hi Thunder Fans,

It's Sheri and the Thunder Girls are in Taipei, Taiwan! We have already had an amazing experience: sight seeing, touring Taipei 101, and shopping at the night market! This morning we had an appearance at a cosmetic booth, Dr.Ci:Labo, and they gave us all hand massages and manicures. It was so nice and relaxing! Also, tasting the traditional Taiwanese food has been a new adventure for me. I am so excited to start the NBA Madness tour tomorrow and perform for the fans here in Taiwan! It is such an honor to represent the Oklahoma City Thunder and the NBA on this tour overseas. See you back home and GO THUNDER!

Hey Thunder Fans!

It's our first official day in Taipei and we spent it touring and taking in the beautiful sights. We started the day by visiting a cosmetic booth, Dr. Ci-Lago, in a department store. The staff gave us manicures and arm conditioning treatments. They were so hospitable and made us feel incredibly pampered. After that we went to lunch at a restaurant called Din Tai Fung. The restaurant specializes in making amazing dumplings! We then went to see Taipei 101, the world's second tallest skyscraper. We went to the outdoor observatory and it was gorgeous! The views of the city were breathtaking. Taipei 101, as you might have guessed, has 101 floors!

We went to Shilin Night market this evening to shop and experience the exciting atmosphere. There were tons of people at the night market even though it's only Thursday! There were cloths, shoes, hats, and even pets for sale there! We ate at a noodle restaurant and I ate some amazing spicy tomato chicken pasta. Later I tried a national specialty, stinky tofu. Let's just say it lived up to it's name! We went back to the hotel later and practiced for our routines we will perform tomorrow. I look forward to our first day working on the NBA Madness tour!

This is Lateshia reporting live from Taipei,Taiwan. The Thunder Girls have had an eventful two days in Taiwan, all leading up to the NBA Madness 2010 festivities. We have been practicing hard all in preparation to bring the Oklahoma City Thunder experience to Taiwan. We are so excited to be a part of such a culturally diverse experience. ... Well it's time for bed; the 12-hour time difference is quite an adjustment.

Hey Thunder Fans,

This is Krystal and it was or first full day in Taipei. We went sight-seeing all around the city. We started off at a cosmetic booth, where we all received free manicures and massages by Dr.Ci Labo, they were amazing. Then we ate at a well known restaurant called Din Tai Fung. Shortly after that we visited Taipei 101. The building was incredible and the view was even better. That wasn't it yet; we saved the best for last. We went to my favorite place so far, the night market. It was a complete 360 degrees from the shopping back at home. The night markets are small shopping stores located outside with various styles of trendy clothing, shoes, and accessories. Shopping in Taiwan definitely made my day! I can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us!
