Blue Alliance Chapter of the Month - Randi Cutberth

How did you get started as a Blue Alliance Captain?
My boss called me to tell me she saw an "Apply here to be a Blue Alliance Captain" link on the Thunder website, and immediately thought of me. I was going to a game at the time actually, so I applied when I got home. A few weeks later, I got an email saying I'd been chosen; it’s been one fantastic experience after another since then.

What got you hooked on the Thunder?
Once again: my boss. He has season tickets and would let me go in his place once in a while. I got addicted to the atmosphere; it’s so intense and exciting, like every single game is a playoff game. I love it.

How many members do you have in your Blue Alliance Chapter?
Around 100 or so members; I’m hoping to increase the ranks soon, though.

What’s been your favorite moment as a Blue Alliance Captain?
Recently the Thunder organization had a Blue Alliance Captain appreciation day, I got to meet so many captains and tour Chesapeake Energy Arena. It was so much fun, actually getting to meet the people whom I’ve only known through Facebook, and we all meshed pretty well.

What’s your top goal for the next year in the Blue Alliance?
More watch parties, more volunteering in the community. Finding a good place to host a watch party would be great; there aren’t many places in my town to have one. I’d like to get some members to help volunteer with local events like the pet adoption days at the local pound.

How many pieces of Thunder gear do you own?
Looking around my office I count 24 pieces of gear, but at home there is a lot more.
