NBA.com brought fans the first-ever live Webcast in streaming video of a major professional sports league game as the Dallas Mavericks played host to the Sacramento Kings on Friday, April 13. Michael Finley scored 31 points as Dallas won 101-97.

Fans were able to choose to watch the game with either an English, Spanish or Mandarin Chinese audio feed, or experience the action in 360-degree controllable video using Be Here technology.

As an added feature, fans were able to create their own video highlight reels during the game with a special In Progress edition of My Highlights.

The Webcast experiment, produced exclusively by NBA Entertainment, was available to fans worldwide with both broadband and narrowband connections (56k modem or greater) using
RealPlayer 8 Basic.

To watch the Kings-Mavericks Webcast, fans needed to be connected to the Internet with at least a 56k modem, and they needed RealPlayer 8, which is available free at at Real.com.
