NEW YORK, February 6, 2002 – NBA Entertainment has teamed up with USA Home Entertainment and Reebok International Ltd. to give fans an inside look into the life and career of three-time NBA All-Star Allen Iverson with the VHS and DVD release – Allen Iverson: The Answer – in stores February 8 for the suggested retail price of $14.95 and $19.95 respectively. A one-hour television special will air on Turner Network Television (TNT) on February 9 at 6:00 p.m. (ET) featuring exclusive footage from the video which highlights Iverson’s road to stardom.

Allen Iverson: The Answer offers captivating interviews with friends, coaches, teammates, family members and Iverson himself, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes footage to tell the story of the man and his journey from the streets of his hometown Hampton, VA to the spotlight of the NBA. The VHS and DVD use video, 8 and 16 mm film of heart-pounding game action and news, along with archived footage to document all the pivotal moments in this superstar’s young career.

The DVD is fully-stocked with extras and bonus features, including Allen the Football Star, Allen and Isiah – The Showmen, Rookie Record 4 Straight Games of 40 Points, Allen’s Top 10 Plays, and a Special Reebok Feature.

To coincide with the release of the video, TNT will televise Allen Iverson: The Answer presented by Sega Sports on Saturday, February 9 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (ET). The one-hour television special will give fans an exclusive look at footage from the video, and will include additional moments not offered in the retail release.

Beginning release day, Iverson fans can also catch a glimpse of Allen Iverson: The Answer on NBA.com through the Reebok All-Access Pass which features streaming video clips and a text interview excerpt taken from the video, along with an extensive Allen Iverson photo gallery.

Allen Iverson himself will also host a special viewing of Allen Iverson: The Answer on Friday, February 8 at the Inner-City Games Philadelphia (ICG) Charity Auction held at Philadelphia’s premiere restaurant and jazz club Zanzibar Blue. Iverson will be on-hand to preview a segment of the video, as well as to auction off an authentic 2002 NBA All-Star Iverson jersey and Reebok footwear to benefit ICG Philadelphia.
