Ahmad Rashad
Studio Host, NBA TV

Emmy Award-winning sportscaster Ahmad Rashad serves as studio host for NBA TV, appearing on the network’s signature show every Tuesday night alongside analysts Chris Webber and Gary Payton.

Dubbed “Fan Night,” each week Rashad, Webber and Payton encourage fans to log on to NBA.com to vote for the NBA matchup they would like to see televised on NBA TV the following Tuesday. Launched in fall 2008, Fan Night marks the first time a national network has enabled fans to consistently select game telecasts throughout the season.

Rashad, a former college and pro football star who was enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2007, served as host, executive producer and managing editor of the show NBA Inside Stuff for 16 seasons. He has been part of the ESPN/ABC NBA team, providing lifestyle features and essays, hosting pregame and halftime shows, and appearing on ESPN’s SportsCenter, NBA 2Night, NBA Fastbreak, and other studio programming. He also hosted ABC’s top-rated reality shows Celebrity Mole Hawaii and Celebrity Mole Yucatan.

Rashad, a star running back and receiver at Oregon, played 11 seasons in the NFL, earning four Pro Bowl selections. He was selected to the Minnesota Vikings’ 25th and 40th Anniversary Teams. He began his broadcasting career with NBC in 1983, covering the NFL, NBA, the Olympics, and many other sporting events during his tenure with the network. He also has served as host of Later on NBC and the nationally syndicated shows Real TV and Entertainment Tonight.
