David Levy is president of Turner Broadcasting Sales, Inc. and president of Turner Sports. As president of Turner Broadcasting Sales, Levy oversees all sales strategy and operations across the Turner domestic portfolio of entertainment, animation and news networks and businesses. As president of Turner Sports, he oversees all sports acquisitions, programming, production, league relations and ad sales for sports programming airing on TBS and TNT, including NBA, NASCAR, Major League Baseball, and professional golf.
Levy previously served as president of Turner Entertainment Ad Sales and Marketing, where he helped build what is widely considered the number-one sales organization in the television marketplace. In 2008, he led efforts for a groundbreaking partnership with NBA in which Turner Broadcasting will assume joint management of an array of the NBA’s digital assets.
Levy, who began his career at Turner in 1986, is a frequent panelist at a variety of television, advertising and sports industry events. USA Today recently named him one of “50 Most Influential People in Baseball” and in 2006, Sports Business Journal named him to its list of the “Top 20 Most Influential” decision-makers in professional basketball. In 2005, the Sporting News named Levy to its annual list of the “Most Powerful” people in sports. |
