John Kosner
Senior Vice President & General Manager
ESPN Digital Media

John Kosner leads all ESPN Digital Media properties, including ESPN.com, the world's leading online sports service; ESPN360.com, the live sports broadband network from ESPN; and all content development for mobile, interactive television, interactive gaming and other emerging digital media.
Kosner, who assumed his current position in 2007, has overseen ESPN.com since 2003, a period of tremendous growth and industry recognition for ESPN online. He and his team have helped ESPN.com establish a clear leadership position on the Internet and in mobile devices. They pioneered online video with ESPN Motion, created an industry-leading paid subscription service (Insider) and achieved 67 percent audience share among sports mobile Web sites.
Last year, The Hollywood Reporter named Kosner to its "Digital Power 50," which highlighted individuals plotting the course for content on emerging digital platforms, and Sports Business Journal ranked him as the most influential person in online sports. In addition, in the past three years, ESPN.com received nine Sports Emmy Awards nominations, winning five, and ESPN Digital Media won the inaugural Street & Smith Sports Business Award for Sports Online.
Kosner joined ESPN in 1997 as vice president of programming development, and in 1999 he added broadband development to his responsibilities. He previously worked at CBS Sports, the NBA (where he headed up the League's broadcasting department for seven years) and Sports Illustrated, where he developed television and interactive programming.
