Two-time Emmy Award-winner Ernie Johnson is in his 20th season as the studio host for Turner’s NBA telecasts. He hosts the Emmy Award-winning show Inside the NBA Thursday nights on TNT, and also hosts NBA TV’s acclaimed show Fan Night on Tuesdays.

Johnson has anchored and provided play-by-play for numerous Turner Sports telecasts of the NBA, the NFL, MLB, NCAA football, the PGA, the Wimbledon Championships, the Goodwill Games, and the Olympics. In 2009, he served as studio host of TBS’ exclusive coverage of the MLB Division Series and National League Championship Series.

Johnson joined Turner Sports in 1989, anchoring TNT’s NBA and NFL coverage throughout the 1990s and also calling Atlanta Braves baseball alongside his father, long-time Braves broadcaster Ernie Johnson Sr. He served in various roles for Turner Sports at the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics, and the 1994, 1998 and 2001 Goodwill Games.

Prior to joining Turner Sports, Johnson worked at television stations in Georgia and South Carolina, garnering several awards for excellence in reporting. He is actively involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and in 2007, he received the first “John Wooden Keys to Life Award.” The honor is presented to individuals who exemplify Wooden’s seven keys to life, including character, integrity and faith.
