MJE’s portfolio includes Urban Coffee Opportunities, the only joint partnership with Starbucks; Canyon Johnson Urban Fund, the country’s largest private real estate fund specializing in the revitalization of underserved communities; more than 30 Burger King restaurants; a dozen 24-Hour Fitness Magic Sport Centers; and a long-standing partnership with AMC Magic Johnson Theatres.

 The Magic Johnson Travel Group and SodexhoMagic are MJE’s most recent ventures. The Magic Johnson Travel Group is the first multicultural home-based travel agent initiative and franchise network. SodexhoMagic provides an extensive portfolio of food and facilities management services as well as offering signature dining facilities.

In addition to his business ventures, Johnson is chairman and founder of the Magic Johnson Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life in urban communities. The foundation has donated more than $1.1 million to community-based organizations that focus on HIV/AIDS education and prevention and awarded more than 800 college scholarships to deserving minority students.

Johnson, who played 12-plus seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers, is one of the greatest players in basketball history. He won three NBA MVP Awards and led the Lakers to five NBA titles.
