Tom Fox
Senior Vice President - Sports & Event Marketing Gatorade

Tom Fox is senior vice president of sports & event marketing for Gatorade Thirst Quencher, a division of Quaker Foods & Beverages. He is responsible for developing the brand's sports marketing strategies, including all league, team and spokesperson relations and negotiations. He was named to the Sports Business Journal's prestigious "Forty Under 40" list for 2001 and 2002. Fox's sports marketing group has built an unparalleled roster of sports relationships, ranging from professional and collegiate leagues and teams, to state high school associations and allied health care organizations, to media partnerships with ABC/ESPN Sports. Fox's team has also invested in key renewals such as the new four-year agreement with the NBA, and additions to Gatorade's sponsorship portfolio such as the AVP and MLS.

Prior to joining Gatorade in 1999, Fox served as U.S. sports marketing director for Nike, Inc. from 1997-99. There he was responsible for the strategic direction and management of Nike's sports marketing programs in the U.S. Prior to that, he was Asia Pacific sports marketing director for Nike, based in Hong Kong.

Fox began his career with Quaker Oats (1985-1993), where he advanced to the position of group manager of worldwide sports marketing. He then joined the NBA, serving in New York as director of sponsor programs for NBA Properties (1993-95) and serving in Hong Kong as vice president and managing director for NBA Asia, Ltd. (1995-97).

Fox received his bachelor's degree in political science from Miami (Ohio) in 1985.
