As executive chairman of Madison Square Garden (MSG), James L. Dolan presides over MSG’s many entities, including the world-famous arena; professional sports teams—the New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty; sports and entertainment networks; and legendary showplaces --Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre and The Chicago Theatre. Dolan also serves as president and chief executive of Cablevision Systems Corporation, a leading media and entertainment company.

In his leadership role at MSG, Dolan is responsible for the company’s overall growth strategy and directs its operations. He is currently overseeing a state-of-the-art renovation of the MSG arena. He also represents the Knicks on the NBA Board of Governors and the Rangers on the NHL Board of Governors. As Cablevision’s CEO, Dolan is responsible for the company’s Optimum-branded video, voice and high-speed Internet services, as well as Newsday, one of the nation’s largest daily newspapers, and Rainbow Media, Cablevision’s pioneering programming subsidiary. In addition, he serves on Cablevision’s board of directors and executive committee.

Dolan was the driving force behind star-studded benefits that raised millions of dollars for the families of 9/11 victims, and for Hurricane Katrina relief. He strongly supports Garden of Dreams, a charity that helps children throughout New York, and serves on the board of The Lustgarten Foundation, a private funder of pancreatic cancer research.
