Alan Cohen

As vice president of enterprise and mid-market solutions, Alan Cohen is responsible for developing and driving Cisco’s global enterprise market strategy. He oversees the marketing of a $26 billion technology portfolio, which includes Mobility, Unified Communications and Collaboration, Network Services and Security, Data Center, Vertical Solutions, Emerging Technologies, Technical Marketing, and Business Relevancy. In this role, Cohen’s duties include accelerating technology integration and adopting cross-technology approaches to deliver scalable solutions for the enterprise and mid-market/commercial sectors.

Cohen previously led Cisco’s Mobility Solutions group, where he was responsible for guiding adoption of Cisco’s wireless portfolio and developing corresponding applications and services. He also led product management for Cisco’s Wireless Business Unit, launching the Cisco Unified Architecture and bringing it to a leading position in the industry, including passing the $1 billion annual sales threshold.

Before joining Cisco, Cohen served as vice president of marketing and product management at Airespace, a pioneering LAN systems company acquired by Cisco. He held an executive leadership role at Tahoe Networks, where he launched the company’s mobile Internet activities and helped establish its worldwide presence and brand. He also held executive roles at IBM, US West, and Coopers & Lybrand.
