Wizards Music Coordinator: JP

JP, seen here with Grammy Award nominee Nelly Furtado.
JP is the Music Coordinator and DJ for every Washington Wizards home game. JP is responsible for everything you hear when you walk into the Verizon Center while grooving to your favorite Motown classic, to getting the players pumped up during warm-ups and leading the charge in getting the best fans in the NBA chanting their deafening “DE-FENSE.”

Starting as an intern with the Wizards in 2003, he is continuously adding elements to our game operations to help enhance the fan’s experience on game night. He states “I was a season ticket holder before I joined the Wizards, so I try to do my job from a fan’s perspective. I just want to do my part in trying to make sure each and every fan has a good time while they are at the game, from the youngest Wizards fan to the long standing season ticket holder.”

While he is not playing the hottest hits of today or certified classics for the Washington Wizards, JP is a Marketing Representative for Universal Music.
