The Wizards got their seventh straight win at home, sailing past the Raptors, 109-92. Bradley Beal provided a huge lift for the Wizards by returning to the lineup after missing five games and scoring a game high 24 points.

The game opened at a snail's pace as the game was tied at just 7-7 six minutes in with both teams struggling to find any rhythm offensively. Things picked up shortly after that though and the Wizards would lead 27-25 at the end of one, thanks primarily to getting to the free throw line 16 times. The second quarter would treat the Wizards even better as they would take a 10 point halftime lead, scoring 60 points on 52% shooting. The Wizards scored 60 points in the first half for the sixth time this year and have yet to lose when they do so. The second half was all Wizards, as they led by as many as 18 and eventually put away the Raptors by 17. Toronto made a push in the middle of the fourth quarter and got as close as six but the Wizards closed the game on a 15-4 run to put them away.

Bradley Beal returned to the lineup in a big way, coming off the bench to score 24 points including tying a career high with six made threes. The Wizards bench as a whole outscored the Raptors' bench 62-25. Emeka Okafor and John Wall both had big double-doubles, Okafor with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Wall with 18 points and 10 assists.

Valanciunas led the Raptors with a double-double, going for 18 points and 10 rebounds. Lowry and DeRozan both chipped in 15 points.

The Wizards will go for eight in a row at home on Tuesday night as Chicago comes to the Verizon Center.

On Game:

“It was a good bounce-back game for us for how we felt coming out of Orlando. I thought we were much more focused as a group from the start. We’re starting to get some guys back too, which obviously helps. I was very pleased. We had a couple situations where they made a little run. We had great ball movement against their zone. Bradley (Beal) I think hit three straight threes. That kind of got us control of the game again. We had a lot of good performances. John’s (Wall) line is spectacular for a point guard. I like to see lines like that. He got the ball moving around. He had good pace to the game. Whenever we’re at mid 20’s in assists, that’s when we’re at our best offensively. I thought he did a great job on controlling and dictating what we needed to do from an offensive standpoint. I thought this was one of his better all-around games, to be honest with you. I thought after Mek (Emeka Okafor) got two early fouls he did a good job of stabilizing things for us. Bradley was able to give us better spacing, having a guy like that that can come in and knockdown shots. This was a good team win.”

On getting on the court:

“It’s very important, especially to me because you want to end on a good note, make a run to the ninth seed. As a team, we want to go into next year with the right mindset, the right goals and the way we have been playing, finish up strong so we can carry over to next year.”

On Game:

“It was a good game. It was a game I didn’t have to be super aggressive and score a lot. I knew a lot of teams would key in on me the way I have been playing lately, just doing a great job of taking the shots I had and finding my teammates open, doing a great job finding them. The main thing was having one turnover and 10 assists. That’s the main thing, not having too many turnovers.”

On Win:

“It was a more distributed scoring effort. Everybody chipped in.”

On rest of season :

"We want to finish this season strong. Try and get 32, 33 wins. It’s possible. We’ve just got to continue to work and take it one game at a time. This was a great way to come back after that loss in Orlando. Hit the ground running.”
