The Golden State Warriors have signed forward/center Dwayne Jones to a contract for the remainder of the season, the team announced today.
Jones, 29, played this season with the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League, averaging 8.8 points, 12.6 rebounds (2nd in D-League) and 1.4 assists in 21 games. He has appeared in 131 D-League games over the course of five seasons since 2005-06, posting career D-League averages of 13.8 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.
A 6’11” forward/center, Jones has appeared in 82 NBA games over five seasons, averaging 1.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game with Boston, Cleveland, Charlotte and Phoenix. He last played in the NBA in 2009-10, appearing in two games with the Suns.
