Ellis Scores 32 In Warriors Win
Monta Ellis scored 18 of his 32 points in the third quarter and the Warriors went on to post a 99-92 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night at Oracle Arena. Heading into the game, there was a question of whether or not Ellis was healthy enough to play, but the sixth-year guard erased any concerns of his strained right ankle with his third-quarter outburst. David Lee added 16 points and eight rebounds, and Dorell Wright connected on two shots from long distance to tie the franchise record for three-pointers made in a season (183). Al Thornton added 12 points and 9 rebounds off the bench and Lou Amundson came through with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors, who have now won five of their last six home games. Golden State will now enjoy two days off before returning to action on Tuesday in Portland.
