“This will be a great chance to play for fun with all of these guys that I would normally compete against and at the same time help needy children in the community,” said Carter. “Last year’s game was a great experience for all who attended and this year will be the exclamation point on a memorable series of charity events.”

The Vince Carter Charity All-Star Game tips-off Caribana weekend and is part of Carter’s second annual Summer Jam, a series of charitable events including a basketball camp for kids and a golf tournament, taking place in Toronto. The Summer Jam is expected to raise several hundred thousand dollars for Vince Carter’s Embassy of Hope Foundation and the Raptors Foundation to benefit Toronto children’s charities. For more information the public may call 416-815-VC15 (8215).

Last year’s game broke an NBA attendance record for a league-sanctioned charity game and Carter hopes to hold on to that record with another full-house at Air Canada Centre this year.

Tickets for the charity game start at $14 and are available through TicketMaster, 416-872-5000. With the purchase of a ticket, fans automatically have a chance to win a collectible print of the game logo autographed by Vince Carter.
