It’s rare to have multiple off-days in a row during the NBA season, but Pau Gasol took advantage of a scheduling quirk that left the Lakers idle from Sunday-Thursday. With coach D’Antoni giving the players Monday and Tuesday off, Gasol headed two hours east to see fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal compete at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. Voices In The News
Following the Lakers 131-102 loss at Oklahoma City, some of the players addressed the media:
Jordan Farmar on the difference from this game compared to Sunday's win:
“They had a lot more energy and they played really well. (Russell) Westbrook came out early and set the tone. They jumped on top of us early and it was tough for us to get back.
Kendall Marshall on the game:
“They made shots, and we missed a lot of shots that we were hitting on Sunday. You have to give them credit: Russell (Westbrook) hit a lot of tough shots in that third quarter. We were able to battle through it early, getting (the deficit) back down to nine, get it down to 11, but we never got back into it.”
