The Sacramento Kings Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization, is dedicated to making a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people in-need and at-risk in the Sacramento region.
Since 1985, the Sacramento Kings have been an important part of our community. Our civic and charitable involvement over the past 20 years has resulted in several million dollars of in-cash and in-kind donations to more than 200 community organizations. Since its inception, the Foundation has established more than a dozen programs designed to support our area nonprofits and the people in the community they serve.
We've tied all of our efforts under our Project Assist initiative. Project Assist will help raise over $2 million for community nonprofits – focusing on our core values of Civic Responsibility, Education, Health & Wellness, and Youth & Family.
Project Assist is the platform the Sacramento Kings Foundation utilizes to raise much-needed revenue and awareness for community nonprofits – focusing on our core values of Civic Responsibility, Education, Health & Wellness, and Youth & Family. We support each of our core values with awareness, giving and volunteerism.
Ensuring we provide support to the programs and initiatives that are important to our community is a top priority. We accomplish this by hosting community events to raise awareness and much-needed funding, as well as by providing local nonprofits the opportunity to utilize our resources to enhance their programs.
Rhythm 'N' Rims is designed to bring hope, inspiration and support to nonprofits in the Greater Sacramento region.
The event will tip-off with a morning 5K walk benefiting 14 area nonprofit organizations and involves families, local businesses, walk teams and supporters. With Sacramento Kings players and coaches as honorary team captains, the walk allows nonprofits to recruit teams in support of raising funds and awareness. Our nonprofit partners will be offered the opportunity to build their own teams and raise funds for their cause. The morning will be filled with a festival atmosphere in Downtown Sacramento featuring live music along the route. After the walk, enjoy entertainment, interactive booths, basketball activities for all ages, more music, food and fun!
The day will continue with the celebrated Kings "Fandemonium" event, featuring exciting activities, games, Kings talent, NBA mascots and an exhibition basketball game, featuring the 2013-14 Sacramento Kings. After the contest, our corporate partners and top walk donors will be host to an exclusive VIP reception complete with a Kings talent meet & greet, hosted bar and an appetizer station.

Introduced prior to the 2007-08 season, the Kings for the Community program was developed by Kings players and personnel as a way to give back to the community. Throughout the 2012-13 season, special groups and children from underserved communities attended Kings home games courtesy of Kings players. Thousands of deserving local children and community members have benefited from the program.
The Sacramento Kings have developed a new program that caters to non-profit organizations and their fundraising efforts. The Kings Community Assist Series offers a way for non-profits to partner with the Kings to create awareness about an event or cause and fundraise in a unique and creative way.

Education is the foundation to create future success of our community. Supporting educational initiatives is an investment in our community's future. We support initiatives such as reading and learning centers, library upgrades, school educational grants and teacher recognition. Through Team Members volunteer opportunities and providing awareness to Kings fans and the general public, we hope to make a significant difference in our region's schools.
The Kings work hands on in the community by refurbishing and building Kings Reading & Learning Centers. Locations may include, but are not limited to, school and public libraries, computer rooms and nonprofit community centers. 'Sacramento Kings Team Member volunteers' work on rooms or buildings in need of upgrades for students to read and study.

Health & Wellness
Supporting health and wellness is important to every facet of our organization. Whether it's our players, Team Members, fans or community, providing support to initiatives that can enhance quality of life is of the utmost importance to us. We are proud of the programs we provide our community's youth to stay active and continue to offer health clinics to promote the complete wellness of our community.
The Sacramento Kings will host quarterly Wellness Clinics at the arena. These clinics offer the ability to give blood, receive flu shots and obtain medical advice for staying healthy. Please stay tuned for upcoming clinics.
Youth & Family
Youth & Family initiatives are the fabric of our community. Our entire organization, along with partners and fans, comes together to support our community's youth and their families. We make sure the holidays are a little brighter, our youth have the tools they need to be the philanthropic leaders of tomorrow and a way for our fans to celebrate their personal milestones with us while making a difference in the community.
Each holiday season the Sacramento Kings spread holiday cheer throughout the Sacramento community through the Season of Giving initiative. Kings players, Dancers, Slamson and 'Team Member volunteers' participate in charitable giving and holiday fun benefiting children and families throughout the region. Activities include a Thanksgiving dinner celebration, children's hospital visits, shopping sprees, toy and bike donations, and holiday food distribution.

The Jr. Kings program provides an opportunity for teams and groups of kids (18 and under) to attend a Sacramento Kings game and receive a number of additional benefits! The Jr. Kings program is a great way for youngsters in the Sacramento region to unite and interact with the Kings.
