RE/MAX, C's Launch Home Court Program
BOSTON – The Boston Celtics and RE/MAX of New England have announced the launch of the popular RE/MAX of New England Home Court Program for 2013. The Home Court Program is entering its eighth year of awarding three Celtics fans a driveway renovation featuring a new home basketball court, and a Celtics-themed bedroom makeover. In addition, each winner receives a visit from a current Boston Celtics player and a Legend to help dedicate the new home court. The winning families also receive a community basketball clinic in their hometown for 100 kids.
“The popularity of the RE/MAX Home Court Program continues to grow year after year,” Celtics President Rich Gotham said. “The Home Court Program really is unique, as it brings our fans once-in-a-lifetime experiences of hosting an NBA player at their home as well as the opportunity to share that experience with their community at a clinic at the end of the day.”
Fans can enter the RE/MAX Home Court contest by clicking here and submitting a 500-word essay along with photos explaining why they need a “home court makeover.” A judging panel will review the essays and select three winners who will receive the home court makeover featuring a driveway or court resealing, a brand new basket stanchion, backboard, electronic scoreboard, a ball rack, and other Celtics-themed items. Each winner will also receive a special visit from a Boston Celtics player and Legend to their home for a dedication ceremony and a youth basketball clinic with other children in the community.
“The RE/MAX Home Court Program continues to amaze us with the great stories submitted each year,” RE/MAX of New England Executive Vice President Dan Breault said. “We’ve partnered with the Celtics for the Home Court program for the last eight years and this program has really become the one of the centerpieces in RE/MAX of New England’s community outreach.”
The special selection committee consisting of local media members, RE/MAX employees and Celtics staff will make up the judging panel that will determine the winner of the contest. Entry forms are available here. Deadline for entries is May 15, 2013.
