CLEVELAND, OH - The night will be filled with fun and anticipation when Cavs fans gather at Cadillac Ranch in downtown Cleveland (200 Euclid Ave.) for the Official Cavaliers 2012 NBA Draft Lottery Viewing Party presented by Budweiser on Wednesday, May 30th starting at 7:00 p.m. With all TVs tuned to live coverage of the NBA Draft Lottery on ESPN at 8:00 p.m. everyone will be watching to see how the ping pong balls will bounce to determine when the Cavaliers will pick in the NBA Draft on June 28th.

Fans of all ages are invited to join Cavs broadcasters and legends Austin Carr, Campy Russell and Jim Chones, along with Cavs radio play-by-play announcer John Michael as they share their expert insights and commentary while the Cavs game entertainment troupes perform, mix and mingle. Cavs flagship station WTAM 1100 will broadcast live from Cadillac Ranch with sports director Mike Snyder and sportscaster Andre Knott.

Fans in attendance will receive an NBA Draft Lottery Fact Card and will have the chance to participate in contests and giveaways to win prizes. Cavs in-game host Ahmaad, the Cavalier Girls, Scream Team, mascots Moondog and Sir C.C. will all be there to entertain and hang out with fans as they watch the outcome of the 2012 NBA Draft Lottery together.

The Cavs currently have one lottery pick (currently could be as high as #1 and no lower than #6) in the upcoming 2012 NBA Draft, plus an additional first round pick (24th overall), and two early second round picks (33rd and 34th overall), giving the Cavs four of the top 34 picks overall. The lottery drawing will determine which specific lottery pick the Cavaliers will receive. After winning a tie-breaker with the New Orleans Hornets, the Cavs have the third-most ping pong ball combinations in the lottery with 138 (out of 1,000 total combinations used in the lottery). Last year, the Cavaliers won the 2011 NBA Draft Lottery with a lottery pick acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers as part of the deal made with the Clippers at the trade deadline, which held only a 2.8 percent chance of winning.

Representing the Cavaliers on stage in New York City at the ABC Disney Times Square Studios, where the live lottery will take place, will once again be Cavaliers majority owner Dan Gilbert’s son Nick Gilbert, the 15-year-old good luck charm credited for securing the Cavaliers #1 and #4 Draft picks last year, the first time a team landed two of the top four picks in the NBA Draft since 1983. The picks ultimately became 2011-12 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving and the top rebounding rookie in the NBA this season, forward Tristan Thompson. In the national spotlight, Nick declared the catchphrase of last summer, "What's not to like?!," and fans will be crossing their fingers that Nick and his lucky karma produce the same excitement this year!
