Head-to-Head Matchup

The Bucks lead the Cavaliers in the all-time series, 110-77, including a 63-30 mark in games played in Milwaukee, but the Cavaliers have a 47-46 advantage playing at home.

The two teams met in the preseason on Oct. 9th in Canton, OH, where the Cavs fell to the Bucks 97-80 despite 18 points from C.J. Miles including 4-of-7 shooting from beyond-the-arc.

The Cavaliers dropped all four games against the Bucks last season. Alonzo Gee averaged 17.0 points on .510 (26-51) shooting and 5.8 rebounds in 31.8 minutes.

Key to the Game/Key Matchups

Key to the Game

Perimeter Defense
When the Bucks made the trade last season to give up big man, Andrew Bogut, for guard, Monta Ellis, they changed their team's identity from a low-post, halfcourt team to an up-tempo, slashing offensive.

With the backcourt of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis, the Cavaliers must limit their penetration into the lane where they can create easy baskets for themselves while collapsing the defense in creating shots for their teammates.

Key Matchups

Cavs backcourt vs. Bucks backcourt
Both teams have offensively-gifted backcourt tandems. The matchup between the Cavaliers starting backcourt of Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters versus the aforementioned Jennings and Ellis should dictate the tempo of the game.

Through two games, Irving is averaging 22.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists while Dion Waiters has averaged 12.0 points and 2.0 steals in his first two NBA games. In their first game on the season, Brandon Jennings scored 21 points, dished out 13 assists and had six steals as Monta Ellis added 14 points.

Coach Byron Scott vs. Coach Scott Skiles
Two hard-nosed, no-nonsense coaches both face challenges when getting their team prepared for tonight's game in the midst of a back-to-back.

Coach Scott will look to get the Cavaliers refocused following their first loss while playing their first game away from Quicken Loans Arena. Meanwhile, Coach Skiles will hope to keep his team humbled after their impressive victory in their first game.
