All That Jazz
Everything seems to be coming together for the Jazz right now. The team is 17-3 in the last 20 games and they sit atop the Northwest division. The Jazz fantasy update writes that one huge key has been the addition of Kyle Korver who is more than pulling his weight and has filled the role expected to be filled by Morris Almond.
Perhaps Almond has not yet grasped all that he needs to succeed in the NBA, but he is getting an education in the D-League where he is set to participate in the league's all-star weekend's HORSE competition.
The only Jazz player who will suit up at the NBA All-Star Game, Carlos Boozer, in the Boozer Audio Blog talks about the recent big win over their division rival Denver Nuggets. Boozer explains that the 118-112 OT victory was hard fought as neither team wanted to back down.
One of the few holdovers on the team from the Malone-Stockton Jazz days, Andrei Kirilenko entered the season despite the trade rumors on a high note. Over the summer, he lead his native Russia to a gold medal and won MVP honors at EuroBasket 2007 and was recognized recently for those efforts with being named the 2007 FIBA Europe Men’s Player of the Year.
