Cavs Can't Handle the Truth
With a purported litle help from the ghost of Celtics legend, Red Auerbach, guiding in a late free throw, Paul "The Truth" Pierce, led the Celtics to another Game 7 victory.
"Tonight was very simple, get the ball to Paul Pierce, get the hell out the way," Kevin Garnett said. "That's exactly what it was . . . that was the game plan, that is what we did."
Pierce scored 41 points, grabbed five rebounds and handed out four assists in the decisive game outdueling Lebron James who dropped in 45 points while nabbing five boards and collecting six assists.
The raw numbers may give the edge to James but the biggest play of the game may have been Pierce beating out James to a loose ball following a jump ball with the Celtics nursing a three-point lead with one minute to play.
