It's Hawk Time
Back in the day -- to be more specific, primarily in the mid 1980s, there was a boxer at his peak by the name of Aaron "The Hawk" Pryor. Prior to and as he entered the ring for a fight, Pryor would have his entourage, to get him fired up, chant, "What time is it?" Of course, their retort to their own query was, "It's Hawk Time!"

Maybe that's also what Al Horford was screaming at Paul Pierce as he lay on the floor after Horford's jump shot clinched the Game 3 win for the Hawks.

Before the series started, all the basketball talking heads were almost unanimous in the thought that the Hawks were primed for a sweep by the Celtics. However, led by Josh Smith, who totaled 27 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a game-leading 44 minutes, the Hawks transformed from Washington Generals fodder to a legitimate opponent with the 102-93 win.

Lang Whitaker in 2008 Playoff Central reports that after the game, the only thing written on the dry-erase board in the Hawks locker room where the words: DON'T BE SATISFIED. And he continues in that report to add that he does not think the Hawks will be.

I know, as seen on their site, that the Hawks playoff slogan is "Get Fired Up". But I understand that Aaron Pryor was a motivational speaker for the New York Jets in 2006 and he filmed a short clip saying it was "New York Jets time." The Hawks need to alter their playoff campaign midstream and let Pryor re-introduce "Hawk Time!"
