Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, and the District of Columbia, who are 13 years of age or older as of 8/19/08. Eligible minors must obtain their parent’s or legal guardian’s consent prior to participation. Employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of NBA Properties, Inc. (“Sponsor”), NBA Media Ventures, LLC, the NBA and its member teams, China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, assignees, advertising/promotion agencies, and Project Support Team, Inc. (“P/S/T”) (collectively, “Released Parties”) and the immediate family members (parents, spouses, siblings, or children regardless of where they reside) and/or those living in the same household of any such employees, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

To Enter: Between 12:00:00AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on 8/19/08 and 11:59:59PM ET on 9/30/08 (“Promotion Period”) visit www.NBA.com click on the applicable Sweepstakes banners, buttons and/or links to access the online Sweepstakes entry form. Follow the instructions provided to fully complete and submit your online entry and enter in the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) entry per person, per valid e-mail address and per household per day. Additional entries received from any person, e-mail address or household thereafter during any one (1) day will be void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any entrant, entrant will be deemed as the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry and such individual must comply with these rules. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Proof (to Sponsor’s satisfaction) of being the authorized account holder may be required by Sponsor. Released Parties are not responsible for incomplete, late, garbled, undelivered, stolen, lost, delayed or misdirected entries, failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines, telephone systems, lost entries or transmissions, interrupted or unavailable network, cable, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), server or other connections, miscommunications, failed computer hardware or software or technical failures, garbled, misrouted, scrambled transmissions, printing, typographical or other errors in these Official Rules, in any Sweepstakes-related advertisements or other materials, or other errors or problems of any kind whether human, electronic or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries or the announcement of the winner. The use of automated or similar devices, including but not limited to entries submitted using any bot, macro, script, or sweepstakes service (or any other devices intended to automate any aspect of entry or other means which subverts to the entry process) to enter this Sweepstakes is prohibited and any entries made through such means are void.

Drawing: Potential Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted on or about 10/1/08 from among all eligible entries received for the entire Promotion Period. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received for the entire Promotion Period. The first randomly selected potential Grand Prize winner who answers the telephone call placed by P/S/T notifying him/her of his/her potential winning status and who agrees to accept such prize will be declared the Grand Prize winner, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Messages will not be left on answering machines or with live persons and if an individual declines prize or is not available for any reason when called, his/her prize opportunity will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion and time permitting, an alternate winner will be selected.

One (1) Grand Prize: Trip for winner and one (1) guest to attend an NBA game is Guangzhou China currently scheduled for 10/18/08. Trip includes round trip coach air transportation from major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner’s primary residence in the U.S. or Canada to Guangzhou, China, two-night standard double-occupancy hotel accommodations (one room), two (2) lower bowl tickets to the game, pre-game meet and greet with an NBA Legend (to be determined by Sponsor), two (2) VIP gift bags with event merchandise designated by Sponsor and two (2) tickets to a NBA reception held in conjunction with the event (time and location to be determined by Sponsor) (Approximate Retail Value: $4,900). Winner and his/her respective guest must have valid passports (that do not expire within six (6) months of time of travel) at time of winner notification and must be able to obtain a visas and all other required documentation prior to time of departure and are responsible for obtaining all such travel documents. Failure to satisfy any of the foregoing will result in forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries, at Sponsor’s discretion and time permitting. Value of trip may vary depending on location of winner’s residence. Certain travel restrictions may apply. Travel arrangements must be made through NBA’s agent, on a carrier of NBA’s choice. Released Parties are not responsible for travel delays or cancellations. Winner and his/her guest must travel together on same itinerary. Tickets are subject to terms and conditions specified thereon. Seat locations will be determined by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right remove or to deny entry to winner and/or guest if he/she engages in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the game or the reception. Exact details of meet and greet will be provided by Sponsor. If, for whatever reason, Sponsor is unable to provide any prize element, no compensation or substitution will be provided; however, remainder of prize package will be awarded and Sponsor will have no further obligation to winner. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. All federal, state, provincial and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes), including but not limited to any applicable customs duties or like fees and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Miscellaneous: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption or substitution of prize is permitted, except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. If an eligible minor is selected as the winner, prize may be awarded in the name of said minor’s parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements imposed on the winner as set forth herein, and such parent or legal guardian must accompany minor on trip as his/her guest. Potential winner (or the parent or legal guardian of a minor winner) will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and where permitted by law, a publicity release, within one (1) day of issuance of notification. Guest of winner (or, if an eligible minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) must execute and return a liability/publicity release prior to prize award, and such parent or legal guardian must accompany minor guest on trip. Failure to satisfy any of the foregoing, these rules or if prize notification or prize is returned or is non-deliverable for any reason may result in prize being forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion and time permitting, an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to: 1.) disqualify any person and void any entries of any person who it believes has tampered with the entry process, the operation of NBA.com, or any other component of this Sweepstakes, whose conduct or actions affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, or who is in violation of these Official Rules; and 2.) modify, suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, including but not limited to war, strikes, and/or acts of God, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes and, in the event of termination at its discretion, select the winner from among eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the event requiring such termination. By participating, entrants (and, if eligible minors, their parents and legal guardians) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that: 1.) Released Parties and their respective designees and assigns may use (unless prohibited by law) such entrant’s name, voice, city/state of residence, photograph, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for the purpose of posting their name on NBA.com and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known worldwide in perpetuity without further compensation, permission or notification; and, 2.) Released Parties shall have no liability and will be released and held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to entrant or any third party or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto) or participation in this Sweepstakes.
