Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry

(On the game)

"Well there is not much to say about the game, we just got knocked out of the box right from the start. It was an uphill battle from there. We had one chance where we could have probably gotten the game to a workable number but we turned it over twice and then they came down and scored twice so it went from 15-16 back to a 19-20 point deficit. After that it was a formality really, and from there we were just never in the game."

(On playoff picture and upcoming home games)

"Well it bodes well if we win and if we don’t win then it doesn’t. There are no guarantees when we are going home to play, but it is a tough schedule. There are games at home that we expect to win regardless of who we play. We play the Spurs again and Oklahoma City, the Clippers, Portland and Denver and all those are tough games, but I expect us to win those games at home."

Suns forward Grant Hill

(On the early deficit)

"It was tough. They got off to such a great start and we got down early. It is tough when you play a team that is getting themselves ready for the playoffs. When you are down 20 early, it makes it a little difficult. For us, we have to erase this game and learn from it. (We have to) mentally and emotionally up and ready for our next opponent on Monday at home. We have been on the road a lot. We get a chance to be at home and get to finish most of these games at home. It was a tough loss. It was embarrassing, but we are still in the hunt and still have to come out and play the way we have been as of late."

(On how he felt)

"It was alright. Back-to-back was not great. But I will get a day of rest and hopefully be ready for Monday."

Suns guard Steve Nash

(On playoff positioning)

"We are not out of it. Here we are and we are not out of it. We have got to drive on it and enjoy it and see what we can do."

(On possible injury)

"It was before the game. I tweaked it against Memphis. I struggled to play last night but got through it. Tonight I could tell I wasn’t great but I tried to play. It was just one of those situations were it would go down hill every step I took. (I was) lucky to get out when I did. I tweaked my hip in Memphis. (It was) my right hip. I don’t remember anything. I got in bed in Houston that night after the game and all of a sudden my hip was killing me. We worked at it for two days to get ready to play against Houston. Mike and Aaron did a good job just to get me on the court last night and I was able to get through it."

Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich

(On the Spurs' start)

"Yes we did (get off to an efficient start.) We came out with a lot of energy. We were able to jump on them pretty quickly and we sustained it through the game. Sometimes it’s your worst nightmare to jump to a big lead at the beginning of a NBA game. I thought they focused pretty well and did a good job.."

Spurs forward Tim Duncan

(On how he felt)

"I felt good early on as I got some shots to go in as I continued to stay aggressive in the beginning. It was a good start for us as it helped the team start out strong."

(On playoff seeding)

"It doesn’t matter. Honestly, we’re going to end up where we end up as there’s no reason to sit there and study. We’re going to play these next games as best as we can, win or lose, and we’re going to end up where we end up. We’re in a great position right now and hopefully we can end on top. If we don’t, hopefully we’re number two as we can deal with that."

Spurs forward Stephen Jackson

(On the Spurs organization)

"It shows in the winning percentage. They kept the core together and have been able to win and win championships over the years. They’ve been able to win multiple championships, so their recipe is working. The Spurs are definitely someone to learn from in keeping the right group of people around and being able to win."

(On back-to-backs and minutes played)

"You never know what Obi-Wan (Coach Popovich) is going to do. I know at the end of the day these guys are going to be ready to play. We had success in our last back-to-back-to-back. So with that, there’s no reason for us to lay down in any of these games. We want to finish on a great note and build our defense that is going to help us win in the playoffs. That’s our focus."
