PHOENIX – Suns forward P.J. Tucker was presented with the 2013-14 Majerle Hustle Award tonight (April 14) during a pregame presentation prior to the Suns-Grizzlies game at US Airways Center.

Tucker becomes the first back-to-back winner of the award, presented at the end of each season to the Suns player who most personified the hustle and determination that Suns Ring of Honor member Dan Majerle displayed as a player.

“P.J.’s incredible work ethic has earned him the Majerle Hustle Award for the second year in a row,” said Ring of Honor member Dan Majerle. “It’s been exciting to watch him grow as a player and become a leader on this team. P.J. does the little things to help his team win, and that’s the epitome of what the Majerle Hustle Award represents.”

Tucker was selected based on the results of five voting categories: Suns fans, Suns players, Suns coaches, Suns employees and Majerle himself. Each voting group carried equal weight in the final selection.

In addition to the award, a $9,000 donation will be made to an Arizona charity of Tucker’s choice.
