Now Hiring: Assistant Director, Event Services

Sports & Entertainment Services, LLC (SES) is the facility management company that operates U.S. Airways Center. SES is seeking a candidate for an Assistant Director, Event Services in the Event Services Department. This full-time, exempt salaried position reports directly to the Director, Event Operations. Qualified candidates will present a polished & professional image, strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task. This position requires the ability to build positive relationships while interfacing with staff, clients, and vendors.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the Guest Services, Guest Relations, and Suite Services departments at US Airways Center
  • Supervise department managers and 300+ part-time event staff members
  • Develop hiring/training programs, recognition initiatives, and retention strategies
  • Oversee recurring departmental functions (department meetings, performance evaluations, uniform purchasing, etc.)
  • Work with the managers and director at Chase Field to ensure consistent policy messages and enforcement
  • Fill in for managers supervising event staff at events as needed

Required skills/qualifications:

  • 3-5 years previous supervisory experience
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Professional, friendly, out-going personality
  • Excellent self-motivation and communication skills
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel
