Position Overview: Responsible for generating new business revenue through group tickets and premium inventory via face to face presentations, phone calls, and networking events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively sell group tourism tickets and achieving set revenue goals via:

    • Executing face-to-face appointments
    • Attending industry networking events and tourism association meetings
    • Implementing sales and service best practices
    • Prospecting / Profiling
  • Lead generation:

    • Build relationships with Hotels, Tour Operators, Convention Centers, Tour Companies, Guest Service Companies, Concierge Associations and all other sectors of Tourism market in Phoenix
    • Develop ideas for department outreach and growth in alternate markets
    • Service all incoming sales calls and emails from tourists and sales representatives
    • Primary game day responsibilities include: assisting with tourism questions at Will Call, coordinating tourism groups, and networking with tourism and industry contacts
    • Plan and coordinate special events
    • Maintain accurate records of all tickets sales
    • Meet weekly with Manager of Groups on prospecting activity, sales performance, outside appointment and event recaps, and account management
    • Conduct sales related activities in the field and at Suns office
    • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

      Required Skills/Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree (highly preferred)
      • Prior experience in the hospitality/entertainment industry preferred
      • Flexible schedule; ability to work nights and weekends
      • Excellent communication and organizational skills
      • Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
      • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
