So far this season the margin between the Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves has been slim. Through two games the point differential has been just five points, each team has a victory at home and the Suns earned theirs in overtime.

That all sets up what should be an enticing matchup at US Airways Center for the 7 p.m. tipoff tonight.

Despite how close the two previous games were, the styles in which each game was played couldn’t have been more different – making this game even more of an unknown.

When you talk to any member of the Suns' front office or coaching staff you’ll hear one resounding message. The future in Phoenix will include hard-nosed players willing to exert extreme effort on defense and give 100 percent every second they’re on the floor. That’s what makes losses like Wednesday’s 88-79 defeat at the hands of the Washington Wizards so frustrating for everyone involved.
