Posted: Aug. 16, 2004

The Phoenix Suns announced their 2004-05 television schedule today, and Suns fans will again be able to watch all 82 regular season games on either local or national broadcasts.

UPN 45 enters its 17th consecutive season covering the Suns and will have 41 games (39 away), highlighted by road contests vs. defending NBA champion Detroit Pistons on Jan. 17 and newly-acquired Suns guard Steve Nash’s first encounter versus his former club, the Dallas Mavericks, on Nov. 16. UPN 45 will carry two home games (Nov. 13 vs. Sacramento Kings and March 11 vs. Houston Rockets).

Fox Sports Net Arizona will televise 39 games (37 home) this season, including the season opener vs. the Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 3 at America West Arena and Shaquille O’Neal’s first visit to the Valley of the Sun in a Miami Heat uniform on Jan. 11. FSN AZ will air two away games (Nov. 17 at New Orleans Hornets and March 23 at Charlotte Bobcats).

Phoenix will appear on national television eight times this season. TNT has exclusivity to two games when the Suns host Dallas on Feb. 17 and Detroit on March 3. The six-game ESPN schedule is highlighted by a matchup against the Rockets’ Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady on Jan. 5 when no other NBA game will be available on television in any viewing market.

For the 35th-straight season, all Suns games will be broadcast on radio on the Suns flagship station, KTAR Radio 620 AM, with the “Voice of the Suns” Al McCoy calling play-by-play action.

Season ticket packages offer the best available locations at America West Arena (including a limited number of seats in the lower bowl), a savings of $5 to $17.50 off single-game prices, and one of the more attractive benefits packages in professional sports. More information about season ticket packages is available online or by calling (602) 379-SUNS. Single-game seats will go on-sale in late September based on availability.
