Suns assign Tucker to Thunderbirds

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns have assigned rookie forward Alando Tucker to the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by Suns President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Steve Kerr.

Tucker was selected by Phoenix with the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2007 NBA Draft. The University of Wisconsin product has appeared in two games with the Suns and owns averages of 6.0 points and 1.0 rebound in 8.0 minutes.

Phoenix (11-3) resumes play tonight at US Airways Center, hosting the Houston Rockets (8-7) at 7 p.m. The game can be seen on My45 and heard on Sports 620 KTAR.
