Tickets to 2009 All-Star Events On Sale Now

The All-Star Practice is just one of the events over that weekend where you can see stars like STAT.

Fans will have the opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of NBA All-Star in Phoenix in a variety of affordable ways, as tickets to NBA All-Star 2009 events went on sale on December 19. Tickets are available for NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas, T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam, McDonald’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and NBA All-Star Practice presented by Toyota.

All NBA All-Star event tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster Outlets, US Airways Center or by calling 800-4-NBA-TIX. Ticket Prices and general event information for NBA All-Star 2009 events are below:

NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas
Feb. 12 – 16, 2009

Adults - $20
Children (3-12)/Seniors/Military - $12
Children (2 and Under) - Free
NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas takes place at the Phoenix Convention Center. With over 500,000 square feet and encompassing two huge floors, Jam Session offers fans non-stop basketball action where they can shoot, slam, dribble and drive basketballs all day, compete against their friends in skills challenges, or get basketball tips from NBA Players and Legends. Young fans can hang out at the Kids Zone, where hoops and interactive activities are the perfect size for them to slam dunk, and shoot three-pointers and jump shots. Fans also have the opportunity to meet and collect free autographs from NBA Players and Legends and visit the 10,000 square-foot NBA Store that has more NBA All-Star 2009 merchandise than anywhere else. For fans who want NBA entertainment, NBA All-Star Jam Session features the NBA's favorite players, celebrities, mascots and dance teams as they hit Center Court in a variety of basketball competitions, including the McDonald’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and the NBA All-Star Practice presented by Toyota.

T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam

The T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam will be played at US Airways Center at 7 p.m. MST / 9 p.m. EST and feature this year’s top rookies taking on the league’s best second-year players. The participants are selected by the NBA’s assistant coaches. In support of a season-long effort to better youth communities in Phoenix, T-Mobile and NBA Cares will host more than 3,500 local students at the game who are between the ages of 11 and 15 and have successfully completed certain fitness, nutrition, and community service requirements.

McDonald’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

$25 includes all-day entry to NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas
The sixth annual McDonald’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will take place on Center Court inside NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas. The Celebrity Game will feature celebrities from film, television and music, as well as select NBA and WNBA players. The game begins at 5 p.m. MST/ 7 p.m. EST and is televised live on ESPN. Confirmed participants for this year’s game will be announced in January 2009.

NBA All-Star Practice presented by Toyota
Feb. 14, 2009

$35 includes all-day entry to NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas
NBA All-Star Practice presented by Toyota takes place on Center Court inside NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas. Fans have the opportunity to have an up-close look at how their favorite NBA All-Stars from both the Eastern and Western Conferences prepare for the All-Star Game. Eastern Conference All-Stars will practice first, followed by the Western Conference squad. The players will be preparing for the NBA All-Star Game, which takes place at the US Airways Center on Sunday, Feb. 15, and will air live on TNT at 6 pm MST / 8 pm EST.

NBA All-Star 2009 in Phoenix will bring together some of the most talented and passionate players in the league’s history for a global celebration of the game. Among the many events that will reach fans in more than 200 countries in more than 40 languages are the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam, Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout, PlayStation Skills Challenge, Haier Shooting Stars, McDonald's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas, and the 58th NBA All-Star Game, played on Sunday, Feb. 15 at the US Airways Center and broadcast on TNT for the 24th year. This will be the third NBA All-Star in Phoenix. The city also hosted the event in 1975 and 1995.
