On Friday and for the foreseeable future, the Suns’ uniforms will transform from a hint of orange to a full-on blast of it.

Phoenix will debut its orange, sleeved alternate jerseys on Friday when the host the Dallas Mavericks. They’ll wear them every Friday for the rest of this season, which comes out to six games total.

Fans got a sneak peak of the orange jerseys during the Suns’ new uniform reveal during the offeason. Since then they’ve sported the white home and purple road versions, but had yet to put the orange alternates into game action.

The Suns are just the second team to introduce the short-sleeve uniform. Golden State was the first, though the Clippers and Timberwolves have used theirs already this season after revealing them toward the latter end of the offseason.

The team is hoping to make “Orange Friday” a fan-inclusive trend. Suns faithful are encouraged to sport their own favorite orange Suns apparel to increase the team’s already considerable home court advantage.

Phoenix is 13-5 at home this season and plays its next four games at US Airways Center.
