Stoudemire Hosts Each 1 Teach 1 National Invitational

PHOENIX – Amar’e Stoudemire and Durango High School (Las Vegas, NV) is partnering on an event that will be known as the Amar’e Stoudemire Each 1 Teach 1 National Invitational. The annual event will showcase the elite teams and players not only from Las Vegas but all across the nation.

The tournament takes place December 26-29 and has the potential to not only be one of the elite Las Vegas Holiday tournaments but also one of the top basketball events in the country. The four-day tournament takes place at Durango High School’s Blazer Dome and will benefit the Each 1 Teach 1 Foundation and Durango High School.

The E1T1 Invitational is a competitive, 16-team tournament with a traditional bracket and includes teams from around the country. Elite teams have traveled from Alaska, Bermuda, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii and Oregon over the years to attend the Invitational.

The 2008 field includes Bartlett H.S. (Anchorage, AK), Canyon H.S. (Canyon Country, CA), Canyon Springs H.S. (N. Las Vegas, NV), Chaparral H.S. (Las Vegas, NV), Cheyenne H.S. (N. Las Vegas, NV), Dorsey H.S. (Los Angeles, CA), Durango H.S. (Las Vegas, NV), Marshall H.S. (Portland, OR), Miami Senior H.S. (Miami, FL), Mission Secondary H.S. (British Columbia), Mojave H.S. (N. Las Vegas, NV),

Oakland Tech H.S. (Oakland, CA), Ribet Academy (Los Angeles, CA), Roosevelt H.S. (Fresno, CA), Spring Valley H.S. (Las Vegas, NV) and Tampa Catholic H.S. (Tampa, FL).

ABOUT the Amar’e Stoudemire Each 1, Teach 1 Foundation

All of Amar'e's community initiatives stem from his non-profit organization, the Amar'e Stoudemire Each 1, Teach 1 Foundation. The purpose of the Foundation, established by Amar'e in 2005, is to provide philanthropic support to at-risk children and families. Beneficiaries include nonprofit organizations that provide educational enrichment (tutoring), mentoring, sports recreation and leadership training programs. The foundation has provided aid to families and children in the US and globally, most recently in Sierra Leone.
